On 2023-03-28, 42 opposition MPs initiated an impeachment motion against Sejonienė, alleging that she misused another MP’s identity card to register a speaker, thus violating the Constitution and her oath.

In May 2025, she fell victim to an online fraud scheme by scammers in Ukraine while attempting to donate to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, losing nearly €1,900 in the process.
