She is married to Kazys Girskis and has two daughters, Akvilė and Milita.
She earned a Degree in Law from Mykolas Romeris University in 2016.
In 2006 she obtained a Master’s degree in Education Management from Klaipėda University.
In 2002 she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Lithuanian Philology and Theatre Directing from Klaipėda University.
She was the Director of the private company UAB "Daugiabučių administravimo centras" (Residential Blocks’ Administration Centre) from 2016 to 2020.
From 2010 to 2020, she served as Chairperson of the Flat Owners Association "Bandužiai" in Klaipėda.
From 2004 to 2011, she was a Quality System Manager and administrator at UAB Baltic Group International in Klaipėda.
In 2003–2004, she served as a Lecturer at the Klaipėda School of Builders.
From 2002 to 2003, she worked as a Project Coordinator at the Klaipėda District Municipality.
From 2000 to 2002, she was Head of the Culture Center of Klaipėda District Municipality.
On 10 September 2025, she became the Chair of the Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union and Christian Families Alliance parliamentary group in the Seimas.
She is serving as a Member of the Seimas in the 2024–2028 parliamentary term, having started her current term on 14 November 2024.
On 11 December 2021, during the LVŽS party congress, Girskienė was confirmed as one of the Deputy Chairpersons of the Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union.

She left her position in the Klaipėda City Council in 2017 (resigning her council mandate before the end of the term).
Girskienė was a member of the Klaipėda City Municipal Council from 2015 until 2020.
In 2015, Girskienė was elected to the Klaipėda City Municipal Council on the public electoral committee "Puteikis Plius", serving as an opposition councilor.
Girskienė serves as a Deputy Chairperson of the Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union (LVŽS) party.
She was Deputy Chair of the Seimas Commission for Energy and Sustainable Development from 27 September 2022 to 14 November 2024.
She also served as a member of the Seimas Commission for Maritime Affairs from 1 October 2022 until 14 November 2024.
She was a member of the Seimas Committee for the Future from September 2021 until June 2024.
Since 2020, Girskienė has been a member of the Seimas Committee on Environment Protection (serving in this committee during both the 2020–2024 and 2024–2028 terms).
She served as a member of the Seimas Committee on European Affairs from November 2020 until September 2021.
Additionally, she was a member of the Seimas Commission for Youth and Sport Affairs from 24 November 2020 to 14 September 2021.
In 2024 she was re-elected to the Seimas in the Marių constituency (No. 25), winning 60.62% of the vote in the runoff against Sergej Mažūga.
Girskienė’s victory in the 2024 Seimas elections was notable as she was one of only two LVŽS candidates to win a single-member constituency seat in that election (most of her party’s MPs that term came from the proportional party list).
She was also a candidate in the 2024 European Parliament elections, running on the LVŽS list (although she did not secure a seat in the European Parliament).
In 2023, she ran for Mayor of Klaipėda but did not advance to the second round; the top two candidates were Arvydas Vaitkus with 23.56% of the vote and Audrius Petrošius with 20.43%, so Girskienė’s result fell short of the runoff.
In early 2023, she vied for the position of Klaipėda City Mayor as the LVŽS candidate (one of 11 contenders in that election), though she did not win the mayoral seat.
In the 2020 Seimas elections, Girskienė advanced to a runoff in the Marių single-member constituency (No. 21) after leading the first round with 23.12% of the vote (ahead of her closest opponent Kęstutis Navickas, who had 15.99%). She went on to win the seat in the second round, defeating Navickas to secure her first term in the Seimas.
Due to electoral district changes, the Marių single-member constituency was renumbered from No. 21 in 2020 to No. 25 in 2024, but Girskienė won in this constituency in both elections.

She also led two multi-apartment homeowners’ associations in Klaipėda – serving as chairperson of "Bandužiai" and "Skruzdėlynas" (apartment owners’ communities).
She was the founder of a youth organization called the "Ekipa" club, which she established and led in 2000.
She is the Head of the Klaipėdos "Marių" Community Association (Klaipėdos Marių bendruomenė).
In 2024, the Seimas Ethics and Procedures Commission reviewed a Facebook post by Girskienė (which mentioned former President Rolandas Paksas’s daughter) and found no evidence that she intended to insult or demean anyone in that post.
In 2022, the Seimas Ethics and Procedures Commission investigated whether Girskienė had improperly continued as chair of two apartment owners’ associations ("Bandužiai" and "Skruzdėlynas") after becoming an MP; the Commission concluded that she had not held any positions incompatible with her duties as a Seimas member.
In 2025, she publicly opposed the legalization of same-sex partnerships, arguing that marriage or partnership between a man and a woman is vital because such unions produce children, which are the basis for the nation’s survival.
Girskienė has been an outspoken environmental activist in Klaipėda, fighting polluting companies and revealing that the damage to nature caused by the company "Grigeo Klaipėda" was estimated at €48 million.
In 2020 she was awarded the Česlovas Kudaba Prize by the Ministry of Environment for her contributions in the field of environmental protection.
She received a prize for "vigorous public activities" (Open Society Citizen nomination) at the 2020 National Equality and Diversity Awards.
