Earlier, in March 2023, Savickas was the Democrats "For Lithuania" candidate for Mayor of Vilnius. He did not advance to the second round of the mayoral election – the run-off was contested by Valdas Benkunskas (TS-LKD) and Artūras Zuokas, while Savickas finished behind the top contenders.
„Pirmaujantis V. Benkunskas renka 29,69% balsų, antras – A. Zuokas (21,82%), trečias – M. Majauskas (10,72%). … Demokratų sąjunga „Vardan Lietuvos“ – Luką Savicką (kėlė kandidatu)“
In the 2020 parliamentary elections, the LVŽS party list (on which Savickas ran) won 16 seats in the multi-member constituency. Savickas secured one of those seats – he was ranked 15th in the final list after voters’ preference votes were counted, just ahead of the last elected candidate.
„Lietuvos valstiečių ir žaliųjų sąjunga (17,5 proc.) – 16 mandatų. Pirmumo balsai:... 15. LUKAS SAVICKAS... 16. RŪTA MILIŪTĖ“
In the October 2024 Seimas elections, Savickas was again elected via the nationwide party list. Turtas ir pajamos 4
As a Seimas member, Savickas receives a state salary that increased significantly in late 2024 – a rank-and-file MP’s take-home pay roughly doubled from just over €2,000 to nearly €4,000 per month after a pay raise.
„Eilinis, papildomų pareigų neužimantis Seimo narys nuo šiol gaus beveik 4 tūkstančius eurų į rankas... praėjusią kadenciją eilinis Seimo narys gaudavo kiek daugiau nei 2 tūkstančius eurų „į rankas““
As Minister of the Economy and Innovation (2024–2025), Savickas’s official remuneration was higher than an MP’s salary. In 2024, for example, the Interior Minister revealed her monthly net pay was about €2,800, implying similar levels for ministers (around €5,000 net after the 2024 salary reform, estimated).
„„Šiuo metu mano atlyginimas yra 2800 eurų. Taip, mano viceministrai ir mano komandos nariai uždirba daugiau“, – dalijasi vidaus reikalų ministrė A. Bilotaitė.“
Savickas has disclosed only moderate assets in his official declarations. He is not among the wealthiest Lithuanian politicians – for instance, in 2022 only six MPs made the country’s top-200 richest list, and Savickas was not one of them. His declared wealth has shown no sudden unexplained jumps in recent years.
„Šeši parlamentarai patenka į turtingiausių 200 Lietuvos asmenų sąrašą, rodo VMI paskelbti 2022 m. deklaracijų duomenys. Turtingiausias Seimo narys – Valdemaras Valkiūnas...“
Savickas’s official asset and income declarations over the years have not revealed any extraordinary wealth. His declared assets (including real estate, savings, etc.) have generally been in line with the average for Lithuanian parliamentarians. For example, ahead of the 2020 elections, the average candidate declared around €166k of assets, and Savickas’s own declaration was in that typical range. He has reported no significant liabilities or unusually large income sources, and no sudden jumps in wealth have been noted in public records.

In September 2020, during an investigation into the procurement of rapid COVID-19 tests, Savickas (then First Deputy Chancellor of the Government) was questioned by the Financial Crime Investigation Service (FNTT) and given the status of a special witness.
„Tyrime dėl greitųjų koronaviruso testų pirkimo Vyriausybės pirmajam vicekancleriui Lukui Savickui suteiktas specialiojo liudytojo statusas, jis apklaustas Finansinių nusikaltimų tyrimo tarnyboje (FNTT). Tai portalui LRT.lt patvirtino FNTT bei Generalinė prokuratūra.“
A 2020 investigative report by LRT raised questions about Savickas’s involvement in a government IT procurement. In 2019, the Government Chancellery (where Savickas was a key advisor) awarded a €302,500 contract to a newly established firm "DevOcean LT" for an IT project management system – this firm had ties to consultants who advised on the project, and it won despite offering the highest price. The winning bid’s evaluation was largely decided by experts from the Strategic Change Group overseen by Savickas. Savickas denied manipulating the process, but the timing and circumstances (dubbed “strange coincidences” by LRT) drew scrutiny.
