He assumed his seat in the Seimas on 13 November 2020, the date of the first sitting of the 13th Parliament. From that day, his term as a Klaipėda City Council member ended, since Lithuanian law does not allow simultaneously holding a municipal council position and a seat in the Seimas.
After being elected to the Seimas in 2020, Audrius Petrošius relinquished his Klaipėda City Council seat, and Vidmantas Plečkaitis (from the "Vytautas Grubliauskas and Team" electoral committee) took over his council mandate.

In 2024, he sought re-election in a different constituency – Klaipėda’s Danės district – and led the first round with 31.06% of the vote. Petrošius then won the runoff, securing 6,973 votes (54.5%), which was the largest vote count for any single-member winner in Klaipėda that year.
In the 2024 Seimas elections, Petrošius switched to Klaipėda’s Danė single-member constituency (No. 23) and was re-elected to parliament. He secured 6,973 votes in the runoff (54.5% of the vote) to defeat his opponent, thereby winning the Danė district seat.
In the March 2023 mayoral election in Klaipėda, Petrošius advanced to the runoff but lost to Arvydas Vaitkus, receiving 36.85% of the vote against Vaitkus’s 61.64%.

As a Member of the Seimas, Audrius Petrošius earns approximately €3,434 gross per month (about €2,077 net). This is the base salary for an MP in Lithuania. Because he has held a leadership role (TS-LKD parliamentary faction deputy chair), his monthly pay is slightly higher – around €3,752 gross (roughly €2,300 net) during that tenure.
By 2021, Petrošius’s asset declaration showed that he had acquired significant property but also incurred a large debt – he had taken out a €175,000 loan (presumably a mortgage). This loan substantially offset his total assets in his financial disclosure.
Audrius Petrošius’s declared assets place him in the mid-range among Lithuanian politicians. He has not appeared on lists of either the wealthiest or the poorest officials. As an unmarried individual (with no spouse’s property to declare), his asset disclosures consist solely of his own holdings, which include typical personal assets (such as a home and savings) and no unusually large liabilities.
Audrius Petrošius’s net worth experienced a notable shift around 2020–2021. After years of relatively low reported income and moderate savings, he suddenly declared a much higher asset value (largely a home) but also a hefty mortgage. In other words, his gross assets rose (due to real estate acquisition), but his net wealth remained moderate once the €175k debt was factored in.
Klaipėda City Council positions are essentially unpaid aside from symbolic stipends. During his 2019–2020 stint as a city councilor, Petrošius would have received only a very small allowance (on the order of a few tens of euros per meeting) – effectively volunteering his time.
Despite holding executive roles in private companies, Audrius Petrošius’s officially declared income for 2019 was modest – about €3,800 for the year, on which he paid only €45.26 in income tax.
He became a member of the Seimas group on cooperation with Honorary Consuls on November 20, 2025.
On September 12, 2025, he joined the interparliamentary relations group with Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, as a member.

He is a member of the Seimas’ interparliamentary relations group with the Republic of China (Taiwan), having joined on November 21, 2024.
In 2023, Petrošius asked the Seimas Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate a €220 million no-bid public transport contract by Klaipėda’s city government, questioning its legality and transparency.
Explaining his switch to TS-LKD in 2019, Petrošius stated it was a principled, value-based decision aligned with TS-LKD’s ideology.
While serving as director of UAB "Vežesta," Petrošius used a company-owned BMW automobile under a loan-for-use agreement (panaudos sutartis). He did not rent or own this car personally; the company provided it, and he only covered its insurance costs.

His hobbies include fishing and basketball.
