In the 2024 parliamentary elections, “Nemuno aušra” candidate Daiva Petkevičienė won the single-member Pajūris constituency, marking her first election to the Seimas.
In the runoff (second round) of that election, Petkevičienė secured 51.24% of the vote, defeating her opponent Arūnas Valinskas (who received 43.79%).
In the first round of the 2024 Seimas elections in Pajūris, Petkevičienė placed second with 16.45% of the vote, just behind TS-LKD candidate Arūnas Valinskas (17.59%), leading to a runoff between them.
The political party “Nemuno aušra” secured a total of 20 seats in the 2024 Seimas elections, making it one of the larger factions in the new parliament.
She was nominated by the political party “Nemuno Aušra” as a candidate for the 2024 Seimas elections and ran in the Pajūris single-member constituency.
Petkevičienė was also listed on the “Nemuno aušra” national party list in 2024, but she did not enter the Seimas via the list. Instead, her parliamentary mandate came from winning the Pajūris single-member constituency (her name is recorded as elected from Pajūris, not from the multi-member list). The party’s multi-member tally (14 seats) did not include her, as her list ranking and preferential votes were not enough to secure a seat without the constituency victory.
As of 2024, a rank-and-file Seimas member’s monthly salary (net take-home) is approximately €3,780, reflecting an increased pay scale for the new parliamentary term.
She was not listed among the eight millionaire members in the new Seimas, indicating that her declared assets were below the seven-figure threshold (her wealth level remained moderate with no extraordinary jumps).
Over the past decade, Petkevičienė’s declared assets and income have remained moderate and stable, with no extraordinary spikes. In her 2024 filings (for 2023), she reported a net worth well below seven figures, not placing her among the top-wealthiest MPs. Her financial disclosures show a steady, unremarkable wealth profile (no large unexplained increases or liabilities).
In her business roles, Petkevičienė’s earnings were modest. As the owner of “Madeivė” (a micro-enterprise), her income came from small business profits rather than a fixed salary. Later, as an administrator at UAB “Varinukas” – a company with ~€0.5–0.6 million annual revenue and only ~€25–37k pre-tax profit – her monthly take-home pay was roughly around €1,000 (estimated).
Petkevičienė’s family finances are centered around their small business. Her husband, Vitalius Petkevičius, is the director of UAB “Varinukas” (the company where she worked), which has a tiny share capital of €2,896 and limited revenues. This indicates that the couple’s economic background is modest, with no substantial external wealth sources.
Coming into the Seimas as part of the 2024 cohort, Petkevičienė had no prior political office experience. She is one of about 60 first-time lawmakers ("naujokai") in the XIV Seimas, having never served in parliament or government before her election.
The company UAB “Varinukas,” where Petkevičienė worked, is managed by a director named Vitalius Petkevičius (likely her husband) and has a modest share capital of €2,896.
